Our leadership team has worked together for over eleven years. Mr. Altavilla and Mr. McMorran have worked together since 1989.

William D. Altavilla
Senior Partner

Mr. Altavilla's background includes corporate controller and executive vice president of estate and financial planning services for a national financial services company prior to his current position. He has been in the planning and analysis field for over 20 years.

In an effort to share his professional commitment with the community, Mr. Altavilla is a board member of the Los Rios Foundation and a fundraiser for the Los Rios Community College District, which includes Folsom Lake, Cosumnes River, American River, and Sacramento City Colleges. A member of the Northern California Planned Giving Council, he is a past president of the Financial Planning Association of Northern California.

Mr. Altavilla graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with his B.A. in Business Economics with emphasis in Accounting and from National University with his M.A. in Business Administration.


William C. McMorran
Senior Partner

Prior to incorporating Green Oak in 1986, Mr. McMorran was the National Coordinator for AARP’s Tax-Aide and Health Advocacy programs in Washington, DC. Over ten years at AARP, Mr. McMorran worked closely with Congress and the IRS. He wrote several tax and financial guides for older persons and worked closely with individuals nationwide.

After moving to California to develop a Medicare/Medicaid long-term care demonstration project, Mr. McMorran established Green Oak as a consulting firm focused on older adult and charitable financial services with an emphasis on planned giving.

 A graduate of Princeton University, Princeton Theological Seminary and post graduate studies at the University of Southern California’s Andrus School of Gerontology, Mr. McMorran lives with his family in Hollywood, California. He is a member of the Planned Giving Round Table of Southern California, AAHSA, CAHSA and MAHSA and a Board member of the Southern California Association for Healthcare Development (SCAHD).


Fiona Cash, CPA
CFO

Ms. Cash brings to her position extensive experience in all areas of tax accounting and reporting. Ms. Cash has extended Green Oak’s capacity to offer custom gift management and administration programs.
 
Prior to joining Green Oak Consulting Group, Ms. Cash was for six years, the Director of Finance and Administration/CFO for WEAVE, Inc., a Sacramento area social service agency. For seven years prior to that, she served as the CFO for Rudolf Steiner College a not for profit college in Fair Oaks, California.

A California Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Ms. Cash holds a BA in Accounting from the University of South Florida and a Masters in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of West Florida.
